As an expert in innovation management, Fernando understands that a company’s true value often lies deep within its operations and potential, far beyond what simple numbers suggest. He combines deep operational expertise with a sharp strategic vision shaped over a decade across regulated industries such as diagnostics and growth-stage ventures. With a background in pharmaceutical biotechnology and a Master’s in Business Development, he operates at the unique intersection of science, technology, and commercialization.
Before founding Kubera Equity, Fernando held key positions at Roche, ams OSRAM, and Axonlab. After his time as an engineer, he later moved into leadership roles where he drove market entries, evaluated startups for investment, and led complex portfolio strategies across nine countries. He later helped develop Scalemetrics and advised emerging ventures on positioning, often acting as a pivotal bridge between technical product vision and successful market execution.
Today, he supports founders through complex M&A processes by combining hands-on pragmatism with a clear sense of value and timing. At Kubera, Fernando focuses on sell-side advisory for Swiss SMEs, guiding owners from the first sensitive conversation to a successful, high-value exit. By understanding a business in its technical and operational detail, he ensures that the “hidden” value of an entrepreneur’s life work is fully realized and rewarded.
